I think that he got elected because he is black. Is that racism? How can someone as inept as Nagin get reelected. Remember all those buses that never got used, and Nagin had them at this disposal?
Some folks never assume any responsibility for their actions or lack of it. Why did he and the governor of Louisiana do something before Katrina hit? Why wasn't the city prepared for a big hurricane, as one had read many times? So now the blame is placed on others instead of his and others ineptitude.
He's just like that black mayor of D.C. who was reelected despite being involved in drugs and taking money. They deserve what they elect.
