Listen to Babalu Live
Tonight at 9 PM...fellow Babalu contributing writer Henry "Conductor" Gomez of Cuban-American Pundits will be on WGNU in St. Louis to talk about Cuban issues.
The host of the show, Dave Francis, has asked for readers to call in to the show and participate. He will have Francisco Aruca on from 9 to 9:30 PM, followed by Conductor.
It's good that Aruca, probably the biggest public fidel apologist in Miami, will not have the last word. Then again, it's too bad Aruca and Conductor won't face off, because Conductor would stomp him.
Listen live here, and the number to call in is 314-454-0400.

I don't know, Aruca is pretty articulate.
Rick,
Aruca is articulate, no doubt. But that's about the best thing I can say about him. WHAT he articulates is the problem.
The host of the show was extremely polite with him...but after Henry got on (he's kicking ass BTW)...the host was pretty much laughing at some of the things Aruca said.
I listened to the whole thing, Robert, and I agree with your first paragraph.
Although Henry had some good points, he wasn't as polished as Aruca in his presentation.
Just making that point and not commenting on the content.
BTW, thanks for the heads up. I love listening in to debates like these.
Aruca is a radio host himself, so he's used to speaking to an audience. One would hope he would at least sound polished.
Having said that, you could sense a genuine dishonesty and "sneakiness" to his voice, as if he were someone you can't trust.
Henry, on the other hand, spoke clearly and straight from the heart (and head).
He spoke about the facts, and didn't get overly emotional or critical. Very solid performance.
