Miami Dolphins: 2008 AFC East Champs
Just amazing. What else can be said about a day and a season in which the Dolphins not only complete an incredible turn-around from last year, but do so by beating their arch-rivals to become division champs, and at the same time eliminate their other division nemesis who also happens to be the defending AFC champion.
Don't wake me up. This is too good to be true.
In the meantime, here's kind of what I sounded like when the Dolphins secured the victory yesterday (thanks Neil).

Cubans Not Allowed
The Miami Herald reports here that authorities in Santiago de Cuba banned locals from attending a 50th anniversary of the revolution "celebration" scheduled for today.
Some sad but telling quotes from locals worth reading (emphasis mine).
Robert, the reason for the lack of " regular people in the festivities is only due to security concerns
They want to protect their leaders at any cost
There are balconies near the cathedral. I'm sure they were afraid of snipers
El Parque Cespesdes is a very small area, the square is not as big as it appears in fotos or film
I lived less than 50 feet from where Raul spoke today
Robert, Happy New Year.
I've been trying to email you. Can you send me an email? Thanks.
